5 Delicious recipes of Brazilian cuisine

Famous for its incomparable spices and flavors, Brazilian cuisine enchants even the most demanding palates.

Besides being immensely tasty, typical Brazilian foods also reveal a lot about the country’s cultural identity.

That began in the colonial period with the arrival of the Portuguese in Brazil. As in the case of roll cake, it has undergone some transformations upon arriving in the country.

As in the case of the feijoada, which appeared in Rio de Janeiro and over the years spread throughout the country.

During the colonial period, the slaves took advantage of the parts of the pig that were despised by the nobles to prepare the feijoada.

Tropeiro Beans

• 150 g chopped bacon

• 250 g of chopped Calabrian sausage

• 1 cup (coffee) of olive oil

• 2 chopped onions

• 6 cloves of crushed garlic

• 500 g of cooked and drained beans

• 1 cube of bacon stock

• 4 fried eggs

• 1 1/2 tablespoons of raw cassava flour

• Salt and pepper to taste

• In the same pan fry the onion and garlic, add the drained beans and the bacon broth

• Place the salt and pepper.

Rice

• 1 kg of dried meat

• 1 chopped onion

• 2 cups of rice tea

• 2 garlic

• 6 tablespoons of olive oil

• Salt to taste

Method of preparation

1. Cook and shred dry meat

2. Fry in a pan with oil or olive oil

3. Then put the onion and garlic

4. Add the rice and fry

5. Add boiling water and cook over low heat until rice is tender

Pumpkin candy

• 1 kg of peeled pumpkin, cut into pieces

• 2 cups sugar tea

• 1 cinnamon stick

• 2 cloves of India

• Fresh grated coconut

Method of preparation

3. Stir whenever I need and knead with a wooden spoon to break the pumpkin

4. When the pumpkin is well cooked, remove the cinnamon and cloves, and add the coconut

Meat with potato

• 2 tablespoons of oil

• ½ onion

• 2 cubes of broth

• water until the meat is covered

• 5 potatoes peeled and cut

Method of preparation

• In a pressure cooker fry the oil and onion

• Add diced beef for 10 minutes

• Add the 2 broth cubes

• Put the water until it covers the meat, do not exceed the meat

• Put on pressure for 35 minutes

• Remove from heat, remove pressure and add potatoes

• Turn on the pressure again, count 5 minutes after the pressure cooker starts beeping and turn the fire off

Fish

• 200g of fish fillets

• Lemon juice

• 1 garlic

• 1 chopped onion

• 4 tablespoons white wine

Method of preparation

1. Season the fish with salt, lemon, onion, garlic and 1 cup dry white wine

2. Rest the seasoned fish in the refrigerator for about two hours

3. After the wait time, beat the strips of fish in wheat flour and fry in very hot oil
